Backpacks or Bust

You and I both know that over the past couple of years we have faced one of the most economically challenging times in the history of our nation. Over 37% of the students in Collier City, FL live below the poverty level and the majority of them live in homes, duplexes and apartments that are so dilapidated, unstable and drug infested that you would be surprised that people are still allowed to live that way in 2010. These kids are just like your kids. They are young, love life and have HUGE dreams and goals.

You don’t need another sermon telling you that you need to give, but maybe what you do need is an opportunity to transform the lives of children right here in our community that really NEED YOUR HELP! Broward County has tons of kids who will go to school this year without the supplies necessary to be successful. Kids can’t change the situation that their family finds itself in today, but they do deserve a chance in life and that starts with their education. If we can help them achieve success in school, then hopefully they can translate that into success in life. We believe that begins with giving them the proper supplies in school so they can get the education they need to make their dreams come true.

This is our opportunity to give them a chance! We want you to help us get them a backpack full of school supplies so they can have an opportunity to live out their dreams.
